The workshop runs from 5.00pm on Friday until 1.00pm Sunday.
You will be staying in Blackwaterfoot on Arrans west coast, at the famously friendly Kinloch Hotel. Included is a full scottish breakfast and evening meal for two nights plus a packed or light lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Travel between the ferry and the Kinloch Hotel and to locations and back is included.
The workshop covers:-

Initial setup of the camera, principles of digital photography, composition

The 'Golden Hour' - early morning and evening location shoots

Use of filters, long exposures

Coastal and woodland locations

Processing; the 'digital darkroom'. Use of proprietary photo software. Critique of participants' images
Participants must be of a reasonable standard of fitness as there will be a degree of walking over rocky and boggy terrain
Minimum equipment requirements are:

Digital camera with aperture and shutter controls and able to accept filters (this does not have to be an SLR).

Tripod

Neutral density filter/s

Graduated neutral density filter/s (ND grad)

Sturdy walking boots or wellies.

Waterproofs - it sometimes rains in Scotland.
Non- participating partners are welcome, please enquire for special room rates.
The course is subject to a 3 participant minimum in order to run. In the event that there are insufficient numbers booked by February 7th all deposits will be returned.
